Answer a question and donate 20 grains of rice

Free RiceHunger

Here’s a word we came across that’s in aid of a good charitable project. Hunger links to Free Rice, a website that donates 20 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Programme for every question you get correct in their game.

We love words

The great thing is that the questions are about words! While helping aid those less fortunate, you can develop your vocaubulary, and who knows maybe you’ll be able to tell us what some of the words mean on The Big Word Project. The more you get right, the harder they get.

Rice funded by ads

You might be wondering how do they do this? Well the ads on the question pages fund the rice (so it might be worth clicking on a few of them too).

Over 24 billion grains donated to date

As of 1st April 2008 they’ve donated 24,809,255,710 grains of rice from the website, and the site was only launched October 2007. We wish them all the best with the website and hope you will check out hunger too.
