First of all Happy belated St Paddy’s day! Hope you all celebrated in style. Here’s a glimpse of what we got up to. We’re still recovering… And yes Paddy’s beard is green.

We look through all the websites submitted to The Big Word Project and here are a few that have caught our eye because of their design, their interesting idea or just because we like them! So without further ado and in no particular order…

We really love this site! Everything you need to know about Raccoons, including Raccoons in the news, Raccoon facts and links to more Raccoon sites out there. What more could you want?

This relatively new blog has such a great design, we love the simplicity and especially the little tab navigation.

Great community site where people ask and answer questions. Quite a nice design and concept.

This site allows you to create a wishlist and share it with your friends.

In a different language but we really like the design of this site. Some great tshirt designs from Ufo Republic.

Fantastic idea where you can buy tickets and win prizes by choosing the lowest unique ticket number.

Each month, MailboxTees will find some super amazing and talented artist to create a totally unique design and put it on a really nice, soft, high quality shirt. then we’ll mail it to you (or your chosen recipient) every month! Great idea, think we might sign up!

We couldn’t figure out why all the text was highlighted when we first went to this site. Quite a different design approach but cool. Again in another language but we love the design.

Who would have thought a blue, yellow and brown colour scheme would work? Teemow’s a great blog with some interesting topics.

Some nice artwork here, love the statistic pieces.

A CSS experiment which boasts itself as the World’s Highest Website.

This made us chuckle.

We love this site’s design and it’s interesting navigation.

We’ve been active users of Fluther for a while now. It’s a great site where you can get your questions answered.

Fantastic design, love the navigation with the little paperclips and stuff. Brilliant.

These guys are doing some really impressive work. Slick design and striking imagery.

We know more than anybody that its important to take regular breaks from the old screen so we might make use of this little program.

These mustached mates are doing something really different by touring…the net. They play their funky beats on peoples’ blogs instead of different venues.

We like the musical stylings of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Give them a listen, they’re kinda bluesy and have a great wee widget down the left hand side.

Not up and running yet but looks to be quite a nice bookmarking site for all those links you don’t have time to check out now.
